Run-time Error 326 “Resource With Actually Found Version Of Identifier”

The program I created is delivered over the Novell network (installed locally, but with the directory installed on a fully mapped network drive).

Very good

Until the key user copies the exe into a subdirectory.

eg
K: afolder MyExe.exe

but also works well when copied to

K: undossier autredossier MyExe.exe

it returns specific runtime error 326 with account “Found resource with id version”

I did not in any way restrict its use of App.Major and App.Minor (the program checks its version against that version of the database x, which she also uses).

I suspect this has to do with network rights (this smoker is not an administrator), but what Novell network rights might prevent the program from reading its own copy number? And if use with App.Major and app.Minor requires special benefits, up-to-date documentation is essential.

Another funny thing is that when you discover properties (in exe explorer) the version tab disappears and there is a version tab in the original program.

All information is appreciated.

PS I know I can complicate the version number, but if it can be fixed by changing some permissions, I don’t need to configure a different version.

Have you ever solved this specific problem?
I have a similar nightmare with a program that I believe is in development.
Works fine on offline sites, but Solution 326 I fails if an attempt is made to install from a PC connected to the network.
Any advice would be appreciated.

After the program was configured by the administrator and the correct permissions were applied, the problem finally disappeared.

I’m not limited to just using App.Major and App.Minor (the program will check that this is the correct version of the database) that it uses.

I suspect it might have something to do with TV rights (this user is not an administrator), but what protections on the Novell network might prevent a program from checking its own version number? So if you need special rights to use App.Major and then App.Minor, make sure it includes up-to-date documentation.

Another oddity is that when viewing properties (in exe explorer) the registration tab disappears while pioneer shows its product tab.

I have a similar problem with a program I developed myself.
If it still works fine on offline systems, error 326 I appears when trying to install on your networked PC.
